Homeopath Edel Bolger O’Hora

A.Q. is 18 months old. He is a first child. 
Anamnesis
Mum and Dad came with A.Q. to me with concerns over his skin, chest and eating. A.Q. had a traumatic start to life in that he was in the special care baby unit for 4 days following the birthing.
Family Anamnesis
There is a history of chest and lung issues in the maternal side and high blood pressure on the paternal side.
Findings at First Visit
Mood
‘He is shy with new people, new places and he just gets a fright. ‘
‘He hides his face, cries and clings on to me, needing comfort.'

Skin
‘Leg rash, eczema on the front of the thighs and back of the calves. They have big spots, red, dry.’
Worse for bathing’
Sleep
‘He has bad night sleep. He wakes every 2 hours looking for his bottle. He is heavy set.’
‘He goes to bed at 9pm and within an hour he is trashing around the bed. He complains and kicks his feet as if he had an empty stomach. I give him the soother to quieten him and he cries until he gets to sleep again’.
‘He is a light sleeper and wakes at the slightest noise’.
Throat
‘He teethes slowly and when getting teeth he gets chesty, a sore throat and then chesty infections’.
‘He gets a runny nose, clear, no burning. Then he gets a pyrexia(give him Neurophen/Paracetamol) then he gets a rattly chest and then he goes off food and vomits’.
‘He is off an antibiotic at the moment but he has a blocked nose with no discharge, you can hear it.’

‘A.Q. is much calmer in himself. He got two more teeth and while he was chesty he seemed to get over it easier.’
‘He is sleeping too through the night’.
‘I am happy with his progress. His skin is still sensitive but the rash has calmed in it’s appearance. It is still there.

The Present
A.Q. came to me once more in the following 6 months. His skin continued to improve and his parents were satisfied that his sleeping and playing with other children had improved. Mum also did the online weekly Homeopathy Interest Group Zoom Meeting and became more confident with her knowledge of the Homeopathic 35 Remedy Kit.
