Colour in Homeopathy

Spiritual homeopathy combines the healing power of homeopathic medicine with a penetrating understanding of the subtle energy bodies in the Human Energy System. These bodies contain our life force, desires and aversions and the soul forces that determine our karma and destiny. They form the context in which we live our lives, either by being balanced and open to life or by being closed and contracted. 
 
The etheric body is the subtle body which contains the regenerative life principles that stimulate physical and emotional development; the astral body holds our spirit’s longings and desires and our mentality while the Egoic field showcases our individuality and sense of freedom which allows our soul to flourish.

Ambrika Wauters developed the Colour Remedies in the 1990’s in the north of England. These remedies correspond to the energy centers in the human system known as chakras. These chakras are vortices of energy that connect with the etheric forces of the subtle bodiesthat exist in the auric field of a person, animal or plant. They relate to life matter. They lift our spirit and work with the earth forces to create a flow of energy that we use in daily life.
 
The colour remedies are red, orange, yellow, green, pink, blue/turquoise, magenta, white, rainbow.  These colours relate to the chakras and are used to gently stimulate the systems of the body to rebalance themselves thus, releasing energy.
​For example: 
Red is a colour that has density and gravity. It works well on people recovering from illness, or life changes like loss of job or loss of family.
Orange works to enliven, rejuvenate and heal. It focuses on the creative organs of the body, the sex organs.
Yellow is the colour associated with the brightest light. It lightens a dark mood.
Green is a colour of balance. It is neither hot nor cold and soothes and comforts us when we are tired.
Turquoise represents communication, truth and willpower. It heals our values and soothes the nerves when they are raw.
Indigo represents intellect and symbolises emotional detachment.It is cool and chilly. It cleanses psychic forces of the body.
Violet is associated with serenity, beauty and spirituality. It comforts us and is the gateway to the spiritual realms.
Pink is often the favourite of children because it is associated with love of all kinds.
Magenta represents the highest level of creativity and soothes the heart and adrenal glands.
Spectrum is a combination of all the colours and has an affinity for auto-immune breakdown and helps revive stressed body systems.
I am using the Colour Remedies in my practice. In 2021 I started a group online to address the need for people to ‘breath out’ at a  time of great anxiety and changes in our lives. Covid of course came to to challenge us physically, socially,  emotionally and spiritually. All you need to bring is a pillow, a blanket and be in a comfortable place to connect with yourself and I guide you through the rest.

I also use these remedies very successfully on children in my practice. Anxiety and stress happen in their lives too at a time when they learn how to react to things coming in on them and speak their truth to the adults around them. There are times in everyone’s lives when this is blocked. In such cases then I look to the colour remedies.
 
Each one of the subtle bodies resonates with and is especially attuned to personalarchetypes of empowerment, responsibility and vitality as well as to life issues and challenges. They resonate with the chakras, or energy centers, of the human energysystem. Color and sound, as it happens, have a particular affinity to these center.  The work from Ambrika Wauters has opened up the use of colour remedies in homeopathy to rebalance people’s energy in an etheric way. I am grateful for her innovations and use the colour remedies with great success in my practice.
