School Transitions Affect The Young

A 12 year old boy, Jim came to me because he was changing from primary school to secondary school. This transition in his life was causing him to feel quite under the weather with lots of colds and flu symptoms, skin eruptions and outbursts of temper from time to toime. He has never been vaccinated, has attended homeopathy for his life time. His vitality was good during the interview in that he was able to speak up for himself. ​

Observations by the Homeopath: Soft, gentle voice and manor. Thin body.
Dialogue
‘When he was a baby he would get desperate high temperatures, be collapsed going to see the homeopath. The problem was always his tonsils’.
‘You don’t see that now, just a runny nose, milky mucus in the throat and his tonsils are large, mostly the left one. He is complaining of feeling  tired and sleepy a lot of the time despite sleeping 12 hours nightly’.
What is your room like?
‘Untidy with the covers all over the place. I like it that way. Mum comes and cleans it mostly’.
How is school?
‘I love it. All the subjects’.
Mum, ‘He is neat with the homework, fastidious really, fussy’.
What are you like when you are angry?
‘I want to break things up. I don’t but I feel like that. I punch the pillow, cushion. I let it go though . That feeling doesn’t last long’.
Do you dream?
‘Never’. ‘I settle after reading a book mostly and then I sleep through’.

Losing someone I love. Dwells on that a bit.
We lost a kitten. It took me a long time to want another in case I loose that too. What would I do?

He has grown a lot, very relaxed. I am not as angry in myself. My friend does silly things and it doesn’t annoy me now. I don’t feel the need to be on the computer games as often. My allergy to the cat isn’t as bad.
