A child has a chance at being confident and self-assured, if his/her parents are confident and self assured. High self esteem is not just liking yourself but generally affording yourself love, value, dignity and respect too. Positive self esteem also means believing in your capability(to learn, achieve, and contribute to the world) and autonony to do things on your own. It is about the worth you give to your ideas, feelings and opinions.

Maria Montessori (early 20th century educator who developed a teaching method named after her) advocated teaching children how to do skills properly. The Montessori Method is generally based on the idea that children learn best when the environment supports their natural desire to acquire skills and knowledge. One of the basic principles of Montessori teaching is how to teach the child how to take care of themselves and their environment and so to train the child how to do skills properly. Give them the proper equipment and teach them how to use it safely and appropriately. Homeopath Edel Bolger O’Hora (Jan 2023)
It is through communication that families are defined and members learn how to organise meanings. When individuals come together to form family relationships, they create a system that is larger and more complex than the sum of its individual members. Communication and engagement support the development and learning of families’ children, strengthens their competence as parents, and provides a source of comfort and support in times of need. Positive communication helps to build trust within the family. Play is the opportunity for this positivity. Homeopath Edel Bolger O’Hora ( Jan 2023)
Positive parents raise their children in a way that empowers them to reach their full potential as resilient and fulfilled individuals. Positive parents are warm, caring, loving and nurturing and so much more: They are teachers, leaders and positive role models. An 5 year old boy came to me some years ago. He is tall for his age, well structured and not very happy his mother was bringing him to me. His issues were sore throat, sensitive to pollen that was affecting his sinus’ and experiencing frightful vivid dreams. His teacher at school was very happy with him and he is quite sociable with his class mates.
His mother told me : ‘It is all throat, nose, ear’. |
