In my recent articles I spoke about the definition of health from Dr Samuel Hahnemann’s view point and the action of the homeopathic remedy on the ‘life force’. It is good to review our belief’s at the beginning of the year and adjust them where it is not serving us well. New Year’s Resolutions are all about that good and bad. In this article I will look at some of our own self defeating behaviours that need correcting before a well placed homeopathic remedy can work at all.

The age of the patient, his mode of living and diet, his occupation, his domestic position, his social relation and so forth, must next be taken into consideration, in order to ascertain whether these things have tended to increase his malady, or in how far they may favour or hinder the treatment. In like manner the state of his disposition and mind must be attended to, to learn whether that presents any obstacles to the treatment, or requires to be directed encouraged or modified.

Samuel Hahnemann says the life force is not designed to deal with disease. Its role is to operate and maintain the physical instrument in an optimal state, not to deal with disease threats.
 
Organon Introduction: The life force, that glorious power innate in the human being, was ordained to conduct life in the most perfect way during its health. The life force, which is equally present in all parts of the organism (in the sensible as well as the irritable fibre) is the untiring mainspring of all normal natural bodily functions. It was not at all created for the purpose of helping itself in diseases nor for exercising a medical art worthy of imitation. No!

​The Organon of the Medical Art written by Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843) is a creative document that applies to today’s health and well-being as it did in his lifetime. This article will cover the meaning he gave to the ‘spiritual vital force’. This vital force dominates and controls the body it occupies.
 
There is the common assumption that the physical body is primary and its existence, and that of the brain, is what brings about consciousness. Hahnemann’s model is the exact opposite. According to him, it is not just that the body, itself, is an inactive “instrument” as he calls it, he calls it “living, healthy instrument”, but that the “spirit-like life force” is totally in charge, then we have a completely different view of reality. He refers to the life force as an “autocracy”, the dictionary defining the word as “absolute power, totalitarianism, dictatorship, …”

Organised by the World Homeopathy Awareness Organisation, the week is a celebration of both homeopaths and those who have been healed with homeopathy. The primary goals of World Homeopathy Awareness Week are to raise public awareness of homoeopathy and improve accessibility to homeopathy.

Happy 22nd Birthday – A  Promise of Health
Humans are creatures of habit. We generally, but not always, like a routine. Comfort often comes from knowing the things we depend upon will be here tomorrow.
 
In our lives, though we have experienced a lot of change, sometimes just thinking about what it might bring can make us pretty nervous. But experience also teaches us that often, the changes we worry about most, seldom turn out quite as dire as we imagined.
 
Thankfully, this is not a story of what we worry about. Instead, it is a story how one person sought to solve a problem with change and how her grand idea inspired so many of us to help make that change. A change that brings new hope to thousands of the forgotten, hopefully for decades to come!
